How a Location QR Code Works
This generator builds a Google Maps search link with your entered address or coordinates. Scanning it opens Google Maps directly to that point — no manual typing, no risk of a misspelled address sending someone to the wrong place.
Google Maps links were chosen over the raw geo: URI scheme because they open reliably across both Android and iPhone, whereas geo: links depend on the scanning phone having a compatible maps app already registered to handle them.

Should I enter an address or coordinates?
Either works. A place name or street address ("Connaught Place, New Delhi") is usually easiest; exact coordinates ("28.6315,77.2167") are more precise if the location doesn't have a clean street address, like a spot inside a large park or industrial area.
What app does the QR code open in?
It opens a Google Maps search link, which launches the Google Maps app if it's installed, or the Google Maps website in a browser otherwise — this works reliably on both Android and iPhone.
Can I use this for a location that doesn't exist on Google Maps yet?
Coordinates work even for places with no listed address — enter the exact latitude and longitude and Google Maps will drop a pin at that point, whether or not it's a named location.
Should I use an address or GPS coordinates?
Use whichever points most accurately to the intended entrance or place. Coordinates can be helpful for parks, parking areas, event gates, and locations where a postal address is too broad.
